Christi Paul is an American journalist and news anchor currently working at WKYC Studios in Cleveland, Ohio. She serves as a 3News anchor on WKYC’s 5 p.m. broadcast, What’s Now. After spending two decades at CNN, Paul returned to her hometown in Northeast Ohio.

During her 20-year tenure at CNN, Paul anchored programs on HLN and regularly appeared on Morning Express with Robin Meade. She also served as the weekend anchor of CNN’s New Day for nine years. Throughout her career, she has covered numerous major national stories, including the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, President Barack Obama’s second inauguration in Washington, D.C., and the early, unfolding hours of the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting and the Virginia Tech shooting.

Paul also anchored extensive coverage of Hurricane Sandy, multiple presidential elections, and several high-profile court cases, including the trials of Casey Anthony, Warren Jeffs, Drew Peterson, and Dr. Conrad Murray. Prior to CNN, she is a former Miss Mansfield Ohio, and miss greater Cleveland. In addition to that, she was the third runner-up for the Miss Ohio competition in 1993.  Furthermore, she has also worked for KTVB-TV as a reporter and a weekend morning anchor.

Christi started her career as an anchor for the KTVK affiliate which was based in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition, she started serving CNN as the weekend anchor. Currently, she is the weekday news anchor for the HNL network and also the weekend anchor for News Day for CNN.
