Brian Stelter is a well-known American journalist, recognized for his role as a media correspondent and analyst at CNN. He was the host of Reliable Sources and served as CNN’s chief media correspondent from 2013 until 2022, before making a comeback to the network in 2024 as a media analyst. Before his time at CNN, Stelter was a media reporter for The New York Times and even edited the blog TVNewser.

In November 2013, Stelter took on the role of host for Reliable Sources and became a senior media correspondent for CNN Worldwide. He has also dipped his toes into television production, working as a producer on The Morning Show, which was inspired by his book Top of the Morning, and serving as the executive producer for the documentary After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News. On January 17, 2023, he hosted a panel titled “The Clear and Present Danger of Disinformation” at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

In September 2024, Stelter made his return to CNN as the chief media analyst, picking up where he left off with the Reliable Sources newsletter. While he contributes to digital content and makes appearances on-air, he no longer hosts his own show.
