Mishkin kept his job as the chairman of the Fox News Decision Desk for the 2020 presidential election, which is in charge of informing Fox News viewers of the election results. The Fox News Decision Desk and Mishkin drew some attention in the run-up to the election as the main American network catering to a Republican Party-supporting audience. A month before the election, the New York Times ran an article about Mishkin titled “Trump is attempting to delegitimize the election. The call was disputed by President Trump, who was described as “furious” by news outlets and specifically mentioned Fox News and Arizona in his speech to the nation the next morning, in which he refused to concede a number of states and the election in general, dismissing “the gentleman who called it.” Mishkin was correct in his prediction, though Biden’s victory margin in Arizona was razor-thin (10,457 votes).
