Kim started her career at KSFO News as a programming assistant from 1984 to 1986. She left the station in 1986 to join Traffic Central as an Airborne Traffic reporter. She spent four years there before leaving in 1990 to join KFOG News.
At KFOG News, Kim worked as a traffic and AM drive producer for three years. From there, she joined KINK FM in 2000 as a Disc Jockey. After two years of success with KINK FM, Kim left the station to join KRVO as a morning show host. In 2004, she joined CBS SF Radio as a traffic reporter.
