Born in Marin County, Wayne moved around the world as a Navy Journalist, taking him on assignments from the Aleutian Islands, to the coast of Libya. His career began at a small TV and FM radio station in Adak, Alaska. Ken has also served at Subic Bay, in the Philippines and aboard the USS Biddle, a guided-missile cruiser based in Norfolk, Va.
After the Navy, Wayne began in Palm Springs at KESQ in 1985. From there, he went on to Chico, Fresno, Los Angeles, and finally home to the Bay Area. Prior to joining KRON4 in 2018, Wayne anchored the weekday and weekend newscasts for the Bay Area’s FOX affiliate station and received Peabody and Edward R. Murrow awards for his reporting.
