Zak Dahlheimer is an award-winning journalist who currently wears many hats as the anchor, producer, and reporter for WCTV Eyewitness News at 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. He’s also deeply involved in investigative reporting with the WCTV Investigates team and takes the lead on community-focused journalism projects.
Before his time at WCTV, Zak honed his skills as a reporter for PBS affiliate WUFT-TV and also spent some time at WTKR News 3. He kicked off his career in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he reported for WNCN before making the move to Virginia in March 2020.
Beyond his newsroom duties, Zak shares his passion for journalism as an adjunct professor at the School of Journalism & Graphic Communication at Florida A&M University. He also plays an active role on the Department of Journalism Advisory Council at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications.
