Darya Folsom is an American journalist who served as a morning news anchor at KRON-TV in California until her retirement in November 2025. Before joining KRON-TV, she worked as an anchor and reporter in several cities across the country, including Phoenix; Portland, Maine; Palm Springs; Boise, Idaho; and various markets in Kansas.
Until her departure in November 2025, Folsom was the Bay Area’s longest-running morning news anchor. For 27 years, she began her days at 3 a.m., anchoring KRON-TV’s morning newscast from 5 to 10 a.m. As the station experienced numerous staffing changes, she remained a steady presence—working with 12 co-anchors and six news directors over the course of her career. “I’m the face of KRON,” she told SFGATE in an interview shortly before her exit.
