Christiansen started serving as an Account Executive at KOLD-TV in 1997. A few years later, in July 2000, she was promoted to co-anchor for News 13 This Morning. This marked Christiansen’s first on-camera entrance as a meteorologist for News 13 at Noon.
She then joined KOLD 13 team as the morning meteorologist until May 2006 when she joined KGUN 9 News station as their evening meteorologist until August 2018 when she joined WPEC CBS 12 in West Palm Beach, Florida as their chief meteorologist. Christiansen returned to Tucson as KOLD News 13’s new chief meteorologist in October 2020.
