Julie Haener is an American anchor on the evening news at KTVU. She is an award-winning anchor for the 5PM, 6PM and 10PM news segment at KTVU Channel 2 in Oakland, California. She has been working for this station for more than 2 decades.
Haener is the class of 1989 of the University of Washington, where she obtained a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Before working at KTVU-TV, Julie worked as a news anchor and reporter at KJEO-TV. She grew up in Tacoma, Washington, USA but currently lives in Diablo, California. Julie attended Bellarmine High in Tacoma, completing her high school education in 1985. She then enrolled in the University of Washington graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in the year 1989.
