MrBeast House
Donaldson has revealed his $16,000 “Minecraft” house, which he had built by professional builders. In a recent video titled “$2 VS $16,000 Minecraft House!” on the MrBeast Gaming channel, Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson paid builders between $5 and $16,000 to build him a “Minecraft” house, with the highest-rated house receiving an additional $10,000.
Donaldson and his team quickly went through a number of houses, rating them based on the quality of the construction in relation to the price of the house. Donaldson’s crew members each gave a rating out of ten, so the highest possible score for each house was a 40. The first few houses were rated fairly low, with the first showstopper being the $100 house, which was built by combining two houses on a massive cliffside. Despite the fact that the interior of the house was unfurnished, it received a score of 26.5 out of 40, putting it in first place.
Another $5,000 build that received a lot of praise from Donaldson and crew was an entire medieval city, complete with walls, a castle, and a surrounding village. A menacing dragon flew high above the city as part of the design. All of the interiors were furnished, and representations of Donaldson and his crew were placed inside the castle, earning it a 35 out of 40 score and placing it first. But there was one more build to see: the $16,000 “Minecraft” build.
MrBeast’s $16,000 “Minecraft” featured a massive urban city complete with giant statues of DC and Marvel superheroes, as well as a giant statue of Donaldson himself. The sprawling city was filled with massive heroes and villains, as well as a full-sized MrBeast Burger joint, a representation of Donaldson’s actual delivery-only restaurant. MrBeast is known for spending and giving away a lot of money in his videos, including a joint million dollar donation to get a MrBeast skin in “Fall Guys,” so a video in which he spends thousands of dollars on “Minecraft” builds shouldn’t come as a surprise.
The winning design also included a full-sized office building emblazoned with the MrBeast logo, dubbed “MrBeast Headquarters.” A quick montage showed the city’s other landmarks, including a soccer stadium, a dock, and a suburban neighborhood. However, Donaldson was disappointed that not all of the buildings had fully decorated interiors, despite the fact that the $5,000 build did.
Finally, the $16,000 build received only 34 out of 40 votes from the crew, resulting in the $5,000 build taking home the $10,000 prize money. MrBeast is known for both “Minecraft” and giveaways, and it was great to see him combine his two passions and recognize the hard work put into the $5,000 build.
MrBeast Burger
Will Hyde, a MrBeast channel producer, revealed in a November 2020 article for The Wake Weekly that Donaldson would open a virtual restaurant called MrBeast Burger in December 2020. Hyde stated that his team collaborated with Virtual Dining Concepts during the restaurant concept’s development. MrBeast Burger will sell franchise rights to restaurants across the United States, and customers will be able to order the burgers through online delivery services.
MrBeast Finger on the App Game
In June 2020, Donaldson, in collaboration with Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF, released “Finger on the App,” a one-time multiplayer mobile game that required players to hold a finger to their phone screen in the app, with the last person to remove it winning $25,000. After keeping their finger on the app for more than 70 hours, four people won $20,000 each. The game was reportedly so successful that a sequel titled “Finger on the App 2” was originally scheduled to release in December 2020.
However, the game was delayed to February and then again to March 2021 due to a flood of downloads, which caused the game to crash and necessitated the game’s developers upgrading their servers. This time, the game offered a $100,000 grand prize. After approximately 51 hours of competition, the game was eventually won by a 19-year-old man who went by the Twitter handle Swagbacon123. A prize of $20,000 was also awarded to the second-place finisher.
