Peter Doocy is an American journalist who serves as a senior White House correspondent for Fox News and a co-anchor of The Sunday Briefing. On June 17, 2024, Fox News announced his promotion to senior White House correspondent. In September 2025, the network revealed that Doocy would co-host a new program, The Sunday Briefing, alternating with fellow White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich beginning September 21, 2025.
Doocy is the eldest son of Steve Doocy, a longtime co-host of Fox & Friends, and Kathy (Gerrity) Doocy. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Villanova University in 2009. While still in college, he began contributing to Fox News as a reporter for Palestra.net.
After graduating, Doocy was hired by Fox News in 2009, working in New York and Chicago before relocating to Washington, D.C., in 2010.
