PewDiePie Minecraft

For the first time in several years, Kjellberg inaugurated Gaming Week on June 21st, during which he will focus on uploading Let’s Play videos every day. Minecraft was one of the games he played, and he was amazed at how much he enjoyed it.

In the months that followed, Kjellberg’s videos mostly concentrated on Minecraft, with content from his programs Meme Review and LWIAY also focusing on the game. Although he had played Minecraft early in his YouTube career, he had only played it sporadically in subsequent years due to his aversion to following the trend of Minecraft YouTubers, whom he believed mainly played the game for the sake of of its popularity rather than for their own enjoyment.

This change was mainly successful for Kjellberg, who saw a significant boost in views, reaching over 570 million views in July and increasing his daily number of new members from 25,000 to 45,000. Despite his success, Kjellberg maintains that he plays the game for fun and does not wish to become a “Minecraft YouTuber.”

In September 2015, ten episodes were developed and filmed in Los Angeles, California. Scare PewDiePie: Multiplayer, the show’s second season, was slated to premiere on March 9, 2017, but it was canceled before it could air owing to PewDiePie’s involvement in scandals.
