Anne-Marie Green is a New York City–based television news anchor for CBS. She began her journalism career in Canada, working as a reporter for CKVR-TV in Barrie and Rogers Cable News in Mississauga, Ontario. In June 2001, she moved into anchoring in Toronto, joining CITY-TV and later CablePulse 24, the 24-hour regional cable news channel serving the Greater Toronto Area.
In October 2004, Green joined KYW-TV (CBS 3) in Philadelphia as a general assignment reporter and also served as a co-anchor of the station’s Sunday morning newscasts alongside Ben Simoneau.
Green became a substitute anchor for CBS News’ Up to the Minute in October 2012. She was soon named anchor of the network’s early morning broadcast, CBS Morning News, based in New York City, a role she officially assumed on January 21, 2013. After more than a decade on the program, Green stepped down from CBS Morning News on October 4, 2024, to join CBS’ long-running newsmagazine 48 Hours.
