In episode six, Hasselbeck’s tribemate Michael Skupin fell into the bonfire and needed to be medically evacuated, resulting in the Kucha and Ogakor tribes merging with five members each. Her tribemate Jeff was voted out in the first round owing to previous votes placed against him. As a result, another Kucha member, Alicia, was voted out and sent to the jury. When the largest threat in her old tribe, Nick, won immunity, Filarski was next on the block, but she persuaded the votes of Ogakor members Tina Wesson and Colby Donaldson her way, and had Jerri Manthey voted off. Rodger Bingham, her closest ally throughout the game, was voted out in the final five. She was then the only surviving Kucha member and was voted out, finishing fourth overall. She was one of four people that voted for Tina to win. She was one of just two people asked to return for Survivor: Colleen Haskell of Survivor: Borneo was the other contestant who declined.
