Eun Yang is an American journalist who serves as the evening news anchor for WRC-TV, the NBC-owned station in Washington, D.C. Before joining News 4, Yang was among the first reporters hired by the National Geographic Channel in Washington, D.C. Earlier in her career, she worked at WUSA, where she began as a production assistant and later advanced to a reporter trainee role.
Yang began her broadcast journalism career while attending the University of Maryland, where she worked as a reporter for Maryland Update, a program airing on the university’s cable channel. She later joined the National Geographic Channel as a correspondent for National Geographic Today.
After declining a job offer in New York—the nation’s largest media market—she accepted a reporting position with NBC4.
During her tenure at NBC4, Yang covered major international and national events, including reporting from Seoul during the 2018 Winter Olympics and from Tokyo during the 2021 Summer Olympics. She has also covered high-profile moments such as papal visits and presidential inaugurations.
In 2019, she earned an Emmy Award for her work as host of the station’s restaurant show Foodies.
Yang currently anchors the weekday editions of News4 at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Before transitioning to her evening anchor role in April 2023, she spent more than a decade co-anchoring the weekday morning newscast News4 Today alongside Joe Krebs, Aaron Gilchrist, and Jummy Olabanji.

Yang worked as one of the first reporters hired by the National Geographic Channel in Washington. While in her tenure, she moved all over the country, filing stories for National Geographic Today. She came to News4 in 2002. During the 2009 blizzards, Yang solo anchored nearly six hours of coverage during the
first snowfall. She spent many hours covering the 2002 Washington area sniper shootings and the inaugurations of President George W. Bush in 2005 and Barack Obama in 2009.
She also worked on Pope Benedict XVI’s Mass at Nationals Park. Yang has named Alumna of the Year by the University of Maryland Asian Studies Program.
