Jacksepticeye is a popular Irish YouTuber known for his vlogs and comedic Let’s Play videos. His channel has over 14.9 billion views and 28.1 million subscribers as of February 2022, making it the most-subscribed Irish channel. He co-founded the clothing brand Cloak with fellow YouTuber Markiplier, and he is the founder and owner of Top of The Mornin’ Coffee. McLoughlin attended Limerick Institute of Technology to study music technology and production. During this time, he was the drummer for Raised to the Ground, a melodic death metal-influenced metalcore band with whom he released one EP titled Risen from the Ashes in 2009. McLoughlin decided to drop out and return home in the third year of his degree. He then moved to Athlone, County Westmeath, to study hotel management at Athlone Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Jack got his first tattoo on the front of his right forearm on August 18, 2016. It’s the Bold Hunter’s Mark from Bloodborne, one of Jack’s favorite video games. He’d mentioned getting this tattoo before, during his Firewatch playthrough, when there was an Easter Egg of the mark carved into some wood. Jack then mentioned how much he enjoyed Bloodborne and how he was considering getting a tattoo of the same symbol, which he later did.

Jack has stated that he has many other tattoo ideas, particularly a Shadow of the Colossus tattoo, which he has mentioned on numerous occasions.
