Dokoupil has interviewed a wide range of major artists, entertainers, and newsmakers since joining CBS News in 2016, including first lady Hillary Clinton, comedy legend Steve Martin, and music superstars Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt. As a CBS co-host, Dokoupil has handled a number of high-profile on-the-ground assignments.
He has co-anchored CBS’ morning broadcast from a variety of news-breaking locations across the country, including Capitol Hill following the January 6 assault on the Capitol, in the midst of Hurricanes Laura and Dorian, from several battleground states during the 2020 presidential election as part of his “At America’s Crossroads” series, at the Kennedy Space Center for coverage of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, and inside The Empire State Building, previewing the re-opening.
Dokoupil has spearheaded original vaping coverage, including a broadcast exclusive interview with Juul CEO Kevin Burns.
