In October 2008, Savidge stepped away from full-time work at NBC to anchor Worldfocus. On January 13, 2009, he kicked off a weekly 30-minute international news talk show on BlogTalkRadio, featuring panels of expert guests. By August 28, 2009, he announced that Daljit Dhaliwal would be taking over his role on Worldfocus, while he continued to host one week each month and occasionally returned to the anchor desk.
