Max Bretos is a well-known American sports reporter and broadcaster, currently taking on the role of play-by-play announcer for Major League Soccer games on Apple TV. Before this, he hosted ESPN’s Major League Soccer and SportsCenter, and he was the lead announcer for Fox Soccer from 2003 to 2010, as well as for Los Angeles FC from 2018 to 2022. Soccer is his main broadcasting passion.
Bretos kicked off his career at Fox Soccer Channel/Fox Sports World (1997–2009), where he became the voice of the first-ever English-language, 24-hour international sports channel.
