After an incident at their Southern California home in May 2016, the couple divorced. Police discovered Tarek on a nearby hiking route, where he was in possession of a pistol. He claimed he had never considered suicide and that he had simply gone on a trip with a rifle to protect himself from wild animals. In 2017, Tarek and Christina filed for divorce, which was completed in January 2018.

She began dating Ant Anstead, an English television broadcaster, in November 2017. She married Anstead on December 22, 2018, in their Newport Beach, California home, and formally changed her name to Christina Anstead, discarding her prior husband’s surname. Hudson London Anstead, the couple’s only child, was born on September 6, 2019. On September 18, 2020, they announced their separation, and she filed for divorce in November. She also dropped her second husband’s surname in favor of her maiden name, Christina Haack. In June 2021, the divorce was finalized. Anstead filed for full custody of Hudson on April 28, 2022, citing Haack for putting their son in danger.

Hall and her first husband Tarek managed the real estate firm Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group in Orange County, California. The husband-and-wife pair specialized in selling real estate in southern California. Their real estate business suffered when the housing market crashed after the stock market meltdown in October 2008. In just a few years, the El Moussas moved from a $6,000-per-month house to a $700-per-month flat.

The El Moussas and their business partner Pete De Best purchased their first investment home in Santa Ana, California, for $115,000 in 2010, and sold it for a $34,000 profit. The trio kept flipping residences and expanded their real-estate investing operation to Arizona and Nevada. In 2018, the El Moussa Group was dissolved. Tarek and Associates, a single venture of Tarek El Moussa, now owns the company.

Christina Hall TV Career

Tarek El Moussa enlisted the help of a friend to create an audition tape for HGTV in 2011. The tape has piqued the curiosity of Pie Town Productions. The couple’s Instagram feed, which showed before and after photos of various restoration projects, had also caught the attention of HGTV executives.

The duo was recruited by HGTV to develop a show for the network in 2012. Flip or Flop premiered on the network in April of 2013. Hall will star in her own spin-off show, Christina on the Coast, which will premiere in June 2018. Hall spent the first episode of season 1 renovating her new post-divorce home, with the other seven episodes concentrating on her renovating other people’s homes. Filming began in the fall of 2018 with a premiere planned for spring 2019. The second season of the show premiered on HGTV on January 2, 2020. Hall gave a speech during the Daytime Emmys in 2017.
