Ashton, an obstetrician and gynecologist with board certification[9], finished her residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, which is now Mount Sinai Morningside. She currently works in private practice after working as an attending physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center’s affiliate, Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood, New Jersey.

In addition to contributing to a health blog for The Record of Bergen, New Jersey, Ashton has written numerous magazine articles.
