Kirsty Gallacher Career
She began working as a production assistant in 1996 after being approached by Mark Sharman, then Sky’s deputy head of sport, during a Ryder Cup dinner. She later moved on to the post of editorial assistant on Sky Sports. She debuted as a presenter on Sky Sports News in 1998, and has since worked on a variety of sports shows including 90 Minutes, Soccer Extra, Kirsty and Phil (BBC Radio 5 Live), and Soccer AM.
Gallacher hosted Kirsty’s Home Movies on Sky One from 2000 to 2004, a satellite version of ITV’s You’ve Been Framed! in which viewers bring in home videos to be broadcast. She began hosting the morning show RI:SE in 2002 and the show Simply the Best in 2004. Gallacher hosted the All Star Cup in 2005 on Sky1 and 2006 on ITV. She’s appeared on They Think It’s All Over and A Question of Sport as a guest. Ant vs Dec, a popular segment on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, was presented by Gallacher.
Gallacher won the third series of the renowned Channel 4 reality show The Games in 2005. She then co-hosted the show with Jamie Theakston in the following years.
