Gonzalez joined the WABC Eyewitness News team as a reporter in 2011, covering the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, the devastating mass killings in Aurora and Newtown, and the Penn State scandal. Gonzalez worked for WPTV in West Palm Beach, Florida, as a reporter and weekend anchor. She began her career in media as a reporter/anchor for News 12 The Bronx in New York.
Reporting on the horrific earthquake in Haiti was one of Gonzalez’s most memorable assignments. She was one of the first reporters to arrive in Port-au-Prince to cover the disaster and its aftermath, and she has returned to Haiti multiple times to cover the slow recovery and the cholera outbreak in the region, serving as her own videographer and editor.
Gonzalez began her media career as an anchor and reporter at News 12 Networks in The Bronx in 2005. She returned to Florida to work for WPTV-TV in West Palm Beach as a reporter and weekend anchor.
