Margaret Mary Brennan is an American journalist who currently serves as the moderator of Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan on CBS News. She is also the network’s chief foreign affairs correspondent and regularly fills in as a substitute anchor for CBS Evening News. Brennan has covered Washington politics extensively since 2012 and previously served as a White House correspondent for CBS News.

Prior to joining CBS, Brennan anchored the weekday program InBusiness with Margaret Brennan on Bloomberg Television. Earlier in her career, she worked as a correspondent for CNBC, contributing to a range of NBC News programs.

Beyond her broadcasting work, Brennan serves on the board of the Council on Foreign Relations and is a member of the Gridiron Club.
