He began his career in journalism as an intern at KFI-AM 640, a Los Angeles news/talk radio station. Mark began working part-time as a reporter/anchor for KTAR News in Phoenix in 2012 while attending Arizona State University to study journalism. He also worked for ASU’s student newspaper, The State Press, as a crime reporter.
Mark was moved to full-time reporter at KTAR just before graduating from ASU, where he covered a variety of topics including local and state government, crime, and breaking events, as well as President Barack Obama’s visit to Phoenix in January 2015. In early 2015, Mark co-hosted and produced a podcast called How to Cover Money with author and Forbes contributor Micheline Maynard as part of ASU’s Donald W.
