Calvi began her career as a news anchor and reporter at a New York radio station. Calvi has offered live breaking news reporting on a variety of topics around the tri-state area. Calvi reported from underwater after gaining unparalleled access to the FBI’s underwater anti-terrorism unit. She discovered a missing grandmother during the 2003 Blackout. She also went to Rome to cover the events surrounding the death of Pope John Paul II. Calvi had previously covered the World Trade Center attacks in both 2001 and 1993.
Calvi has six Emmy awards to her name, including two for live breaking news coverage and one for “Predator Next Door,” an in-depth series on sexual pedophilia. Calvi received a World Media Award for her work at the New York Festival.
