Pauly D Daughter
DelVecchio has a daughter named Amabella Sophia Markert. Amabella was born in May 2013. According to Us Weekly, DelVecchio was taken aback by Amabella’s delivery. Amabella was born in May, but DelVecchio supposedly found out about it in October 2013. He filed a motion for full custody, according to Us Weekly, citing a source. For a while, there was a back-and-forth between the two about Amabella. Markert was treating DelVecchio’s daughter like “a winning lottery ticket,” according to DelVecchio. “I love my children more than anything in the world,” Markert wrote on her now-defunct Twitter account, denying the allegations. It’s a shame he’s brought so much instability into the world” (via Heavy).
DelVecchio’s life revolves around Amabella. DelVecchio would frequently discuss his daughter with the ladies he was dating in Season 1 of Double Shot at Love. Finding someone who could be Amabella’s mother figure was a top objective. DelVecchio recruited an actor to play his daughter in order to put the women to the test. Despite the fact that the real Amabella was not participating, DelVecchio had a deeper understanding of which lady was more suitable with every element of his life, including motherhood.
Pauly D Jersey Shore
DelVecchio was cast in Jersey Shore in 2009. He has indicated that his selection for Jersey Shore had nothing to do with his music, but rather with a Myspace message given to him after they liked his appearance. He gave them his phone number after he emailed it to them “The casting directors called me from LA, saying they wanted to bring a camera crew out to Rhode Island to record a day in my life. They followed me to the gym, tanned me, and followed me to the club. They said I went on the show six months later. I never went through a formal audition process.” His appearance on the show garnered him “really ardent followers,” according to TIME. He was named the 2011 Teen Choice Award winner for Male Reality Star. In June 2012, he was a competitor on the Fox show The Choice.
Pauly D Project
DelVecchio is the first Jersey Shore housemate to get his own spin-off. The show centered on his DJ profession as he embarked on a cross-country tour. In 2012, filming began. TIME reports that “We’re guessing Pauly D won the job [rather than Nicole Polizzi or Michael Sorrentino] because he seems like a genuinely kind guy. He isn’t known for diva antics like The Situation, and he doesn’t look to be a drunken disaster like Nicole and Michael do at times.” The Pauly D Project was renamed DelVecchio, the original name of the show. On March 29, 2012, it aired on MTV for the first time.
