Yasmin began her job as a production assistant at E! after graduating from college. She went on to work as a producer for the Style Network after that. Yasmin got her first on-air position at DTV, a German internet television network, at that time.

Yasmin covered events including the September 11 attacks and the New York City mayoral elections during her stint at DTV. She also conducted red carpet interviews with Salma Hayek, Tom Cruise, Susan Sarandon, and Robin Williams, among others. Yasmin went on to serve as a journalist for Current TV, an internet and television network that features user-generated content from all across the world.

Yasmin traveled alone to Tehran, Iran, for her first job at Current, to film a documentary on the underground youth culture there. Yasmin Vossoughian later served as a co-producer on MSNBC’s Up With David Gura and filled in for the host multiple times. She was also a contributor to Morning Joe. Yasmin left Morning Joe in September 2020, handing over the reins to Kasie Hunt.

Vossoughian began his career as an international news correspondent for Gallup World Poll.
