Yasmin began her job as a production assistant at E! after graduating from college. She went on to work as a producer for the Style Network after that. Yasmin got her first on-air position at DTV, a German internet television network, at that time.
Yasmin covered events including the September 11 attacks and the New York City mayoral elections during her stint at DTV. She also conducted red carpet interviews with Salma Hayek, Tom Cruise, Susan Sarandon, and Robin Williams, among others.
