Following graduation, Bragman pursued a career in public relations and crisis management, eventually founding Bragman Nyman Cafarelli (BNC) in 1989 after serving as a vice president in the Chicago and Los Angeles offices of Burson-Marsteller Public Relations. Interpublic Group, a holding company for marketing firms, bought BNC in 2001. Bragman founded Fifteen Minutes, a strategic media and public relations firm, in 2005. As a consultant, commentator, and content creator, Bragman created LaBrea.Media in 2018. [8] From 1998 to 2003, Bragman was an Adjunct Professor of Public Relations at the Annenberg Center for Communication at the University of Southern California. Through Penguin Portfolio, he is the author of the best-selling book “Where’s My Fifteen Minutes?” (2008).

Glen Zipper, a film producer who was working on Lead and Copper, a documentary about the Flint water crisis, approached Bragman in 2016. Bragman, a Flint native, joined Paul Haggis’ team to help with public relations and historical knowledge into the city’s industrial heritage.

Joseph Steffan, the Lewinsky family, and Sharon Smith in Smith v. Knoller are among those for whom Bragman has offered litigation support as a crisis counselor.
