Jon Dowding is an American journalist who currently reports for ABC11 Eyewitness News. He made his way back to the South in August 2025, and he couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
Before landing at ABC11, Jon was with WAVY-TV 10 in Norfolk, Virginia, where he took on roles as a reporter, multimedia journalist, and weekend evening anchor. He kicked off his television news journey as a digital multimedia journalist at WSAV-TV in Savannah, Georgia. While at both WAVY-TV 10 and WSAV News 3, Jon was proud to launch Spanish-language digital news segments—the first of their kind in those markets.
