Tracy previously worked as a White House correspondent for CBS News, where she covered the Trump administration’s second half, covering every fast-moving development coming out of the executive branch. Tracy formerly worked for CBS News in Los Angeles and Asia. Tracy has reported from 21 locations on five continents since joining the Network in 2008. He has visited North Korea three times and was the only Western broadcast television correspondent to cover the country’s primary nuclear test site.

Tracy has covered a wide range of national and international stories, including President Donald Trump’s impeachment, the 2020 Presidential Campaign and Election, the historic summit meetings between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Hanoi and Singapore, the rescue of 12 boys and their soccer coach from a cave in Thailand, the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. He has covered the major wildfires in the Western United States and Canada, the 2014 Sydney hostage crisis, the 2011 earthquake and Tsunami in Japan, and Prince William and the former Kate Middleton’s Royal Wedding in London.

Tracy came to Cuba in 2016 to investigate the rise in American tourism as a result of the relaxation of travel restrictions. Tracy worked as a reporter for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis before joining CBS News, where he was a member of the station’s investigative team, covering important events like the methamphetamine epidemic and the 35W bridge collapse. He was also a contributor to CBS News’ “Saturday Early Show” at the time, where he introduced his distinctive “Good Question” feature, which he began at WCCO-TV, to a national audience.

Tracy formerly worked as a reporter for WISN-TV Milwaukee and WBAY-TV Green Bay, Wisconsin, before joining WCCO-TV. Six Emmy Awards and two Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia Awards for excellence in broadcast news have been bestowed upon him.
