Dhaliwal left London to work for CNN International and CNNfn in Atlanta, Georgia. In November 2005, she was hired as a temporary replacement newsreader on BBC World to fill in for Katty Kay, who was on maternity leave. She co-anchored primarily from WNET’s Times Square studios on West 44th Street, but she usually reported from the BBC World News studios in Washington, D.C.
She then relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, after being courted by CNN International and CNNfn to host Your World Today. Dhaliwal has also worked for the UN and UNICEF, hosting major conferences in New York City and The Hague, Netherlands. She still works for the UN, presenting the award-winning monthly news magazine 21st Century on UNTV. Dhaliwal hosted Wide Angle for two seasons beginning in July 2006, but she left to do other shows and was replaced by reporter Aaron Brown. She was the host of Foreign Exchange and Global Watch. Dhaliwal is currently an Al-Jazeera English and ABC News Now news presenter, hosting a variety of programs for the digital network.
