Elliott spent two years at KCBS-TV in Los Angeles before joining CBS2. He previously worked for NBC News and MSNBC, where he was a weathercaster on “Early Today” on weekday mornings. As an anchor and correspondent for MSNBC, he also handled a wide range of assignments. Elliott covered the 2004 presidential campaign for MSNBC in the battleground state of Iowa. He also reported from several bases and stations across the country when troops were sent for the Iraq war, and he spent time on the USS Abraham Lincoln.
Elliott previously worked at XETV-TV in San Diego, where he was an anchor on the Fox station’s morning newscasts. He was also a morning news anchor for KGET-TV in Bakersfield, California, an NBC affiliate. Elliott began his career as a weathercaster, first at WRBL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Columbus, Georgia, and then at KGET before becoming a news anchor in Bakersfield.
