Matt Iseman Career
Iseman got his start in stand-up comedy with a set based on his experiences as a doctor. He began his career as a member of the improvisational comedy troupe The Groundlings before becoming a full-time professional comic in 2002. Iseman’s medical experience has led to his performing for medical and health-related groups in addition to comedy clubs. He’s performed for the USO in Afghanistan, South Korea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Hungary.
Brian Regan is a comedian who has influenced him. Outside of humor involving health and the medical profession, Iseman’s comedy is mostly observational, and he avoids off-color content. Scream Play on E! and Casino Night on GSN have both included Iseman as a host. On the Style Network, he is a frequent cast member of the home remodeling show Clean House and its companion outtakes show, Clean House Comes Clean. He has also hosted 8 of the 9 seasons of American Ninja Warrior, which aired on G4 and eventually the NBC network. The only season in which he did not host was the first. In 2010, Iseman began working for American Ninja Warrior. With Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and Zuri Hall, he combines his athleticism and work as a comic to lend his own style to the event.

On SPEED, he was the narrator of Dumbest Stuff On Wheels. Iseman has been the host of Sports Soup, a Versus spin-off of EThe !’s Soup, since May 4, 2010.
Iseman was one of the contestants on the third episode of RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation. He also won the 15th overall season and inaugural run of The New Celebrity Apprentice. Iseman has taken over as the new host of A&E’s Live Rescue, succeeding Ashleigh Banfield.
