Before making his way to Kansas City, Grigsby also served as a weather reporter and anchor at WEVV TV in Evansville, Indiana, for nearly two years. His fascination with weather sparked at a young age, but he briefly veered off the path to take on a supervisory role at BSSD Radio stations and BSSD TV for high schools.
Interestingly, Grigsby had numerous opportunities to play high school basketball at Auburn under coach Sonny Smith and alongside Charles Barkley at BYU.
