The SLPMB (Sierra Leone Produce Marketing Board) hired Isha’s father as a legal consultant; he passed away in 1988.

Isha Sesay W.E. Can Lead
Sesay established W.E. Can Lead (Women Everywhere Can Lead), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, in 2014. It was developed to aid African girls in getting the education they need to become future leaders. The majority of the girls participating in the program in August 2018 were from Nigeria, however it is open to girls from all throughout Africa.
There are two phases to the program: the base phase and the specialization phase. The girls can apply to participate in the Young Leader development program after a year in which they learn fundamental skills including financial literacy, critical thinking, and good health practices, as well as how to develop self-esteem and self-awareness. A speaker series and annual empowerment camps are open to those who don’t get a spot.
The participants receive financial aid to pay for their tuition, uniforms, and other costs. More than 600 girls, ranging in age from 12 to 18, were enrolled in the program as of August 2018. Idris Elba, an actor, auctioned off a date with him in January 2017 to raise money for W.E. Can Lead. In 2019, they worked together once more to launch a tombola via which contributors may win a McLaren 720S Coupe.
